I wasn't slamming salespeople.
Obviously i know that the whole point of any kind of business is to make money. and to do this they must sell a product!
I worked at a car dealership for six years, and their biggest thought was that they were better off selling- let's say for argument sake- 100 cars a month at $300 profit per car( $30,000) than 25 cars at $1000 profit ($25,000).
In the long run, they had a higher turn over of cars with more overall profit, and the public felt like they were getting a better deal. In the long run also, word of mouth is the best advertising. if people feel like they were treated right, they tell people.....
So, i don't have a problem with places/people making their share of the money, but i'll be damned if their going to screw me over...
I'll just go elsewhere, and talk bad about the place...
So, they were going to give me $2000 for my bike, and down the street about 3 blocks at the suzuki dealership they had the same bike i have with the exactly same miles as mine. and they were asking $3800. I'm not a mathmitician, but in rough terms, that would be-like- $1800 profit!
why not drop that profit down $1000 to make the sale, and make the customer happy, and have that person come back in the future.
more sales, less immediate profit, and the more customers who come back in the future!!!!~
